TurboCAD-File-Library Do you have questions about your listserver subscription - about receiving email from the group? On this page you will find information about the group's listserver, including the difference between joining and subscribing, the group's policy of using the message board, and the availibility of the group's RSS feed. You will also find information about different subscription options to the listserver, such as only using a web browser to view group messages without receiving email, or receiving group messages batched into a single daily digest email, and how to unsubscribe from the email list and leave the group.


Listserver Subscription

Group Email

Whether you join the TurboCAD-File-Library or subscribe to the group's email list, you will be emailed each group message posted on the group's message board, individually and immediately, as soon as it is posted. The group's board is hosted by the listserver at Yahoo! Groups, and those who join have a Yahoo! ID - but having a Yahoo! ID are NOT requirements to subscribe to our email list.

*NOTE: Those who join the group using a web browser have access to all the features the group offers, whereas those who subscribe to the email list may send and receive group messages using email only.

The IMSI/Design Store

The message board of the TurboCAD-File-Library is an email list (hosted by the listserver). The message board is accessible to the public - messages posted on our board reach a broad audience and are actively indexed by search engines. Only members may post messages on the board. When posting messages* on the group's board, please be considerate of others - do NOT spam the listserver! Spammers will be censored!

*NOTE: Members who have never posted to the group's Message Board are at first moderated. Thereafter, members are unmoderated. Those spamming the board will be censored! Every effort is made by the Moderators to keep the board spam-free.

You are welcome to post messages on the group's message board, but you must either join the group or subscribe to the email list. Those members who joined the group may post messages* using a web browser…

When you post a message on the board, your email address will be visible to other members of the group, but it will NOT be available to the public or to search engines, nor should it be harvestable. Refer to the group's Privacy Policy for more information.

RSS Feed

Anyone can use the public TurboCAD-File-Library RSS feed to read or display messages posted by members of the group. This means that anyone can read a short summary of recent messages posted on the group's message board in a RSS reader, such as a news aggregator or display messages in a blog (otherwise known as web log). Or you can use the group's RSS feed in certain browsers - for example, live bookmarks in Firefox. If you have a Yahoo! ID, you may display group messages on your My Yahoo! page by adding this group to My Yahoo!

Managing Your Subscription

Web Only (No Email)

If you prefer not to receive email from the TurboCAD-File-Library, or if you will be away and unable to check your email for some time, you can easily stop delivery. Members who joined the group have the option of selecting Web Only on their membership settings webpage…

If you find the email volume too high from the TurboCAD-File-Library, members may instead receive a daily digest (summary) of group messages batched into a single email. Those who joined the group may select Daily Digest on their membership settings webpage…

You may leave the TurboCAD-File-Library and unsubscribe (opt-out) at any time. Those who joined the group may use their web browser. Look for the button Leave Group near the bottom of your membership settings webpage…

*NOTE: When emailing the listserver, make sure you use the correct email account - that is, use the email address that is subscribed to the group's email list.

As a last resort, if your attempts to unsubscribe are unsuccessful, you are welcome to ask for assistance by emailing the TurboCAD-File-Library Moderators.

Other Considerations

All changes to TurboCAD-File-Library membership settings are honored and should take effect immediately, but under some circumstances, it may take longer if the changes must be processed by the listserver at Yahoo! Groups (that is, when you make changes by emailing the listserver).
